Lost Souls in a Sea of Trees.

At the northwestern base of Mount Fuji in Japan, there is a 12 square mile forest that has flourished upon the hardened lava left from Fujiyama’s last major eruption in 864 A.D. known as Aokigahara (pronounced ah kee go hara’) It is also called Jukai which translates into English as the poetic sounding “Sea of Trees”. But to many this idyllic nature preserve has a much more sinister name.
